TIPS!
- Stand straight, tall, and breathe normally when taking measurements. Since this is for lingerie, I don't recommend you wear clothes on while doing this.
- To calculate your bust, wrap the tape measure around your back, across your shoulder blades and under your arms. The tape should be straight and parallel with the floor. It must also wrap around the fullest part of your bust. Place your thumb beneath the tape measure and keep yourself from pulling too tight and get the measurement.
- To calculate your waist, use the tape to circle your waist at your natural waistline, which is located above your belly button and below your rib cage (If you bend to the side, the crease that forms is your natural waistline). Don’t suck in your stomach, or you’ll get a false measurement.
- To calculate your hips, start at one hip and wrap the tape measure around your rear, around the other hip, and back to where you started. Make sure the tape is over the fullest part of your hips and buttocks. Because making sure the tape is level back there can be hard, try to do it in front of a mirror.
1. Your waist and hips fall into two different sizes. For example, your waist might be a size S but your hips a size M. Have in mind that if it is low waist, you just need to take the hips measurements in account. If it covers both waist and hips, the larger of the two sizes will be more likely to fit you.
2. One of you measurements is between sizes. In that case, check your other measurement: is it also on the edge with another size or is perfectly fitting into one? For example, your waist measurement might be 74 cm meaning you fall in both sizes M and L but your hips are 98 cm and you might want to go for the L to make sure you are not too tight in them, or your hips could be 95 cm in which case the M is very more likely to fit you better!
You might also consider getting something custom made for you.
- If possible, hand wash your garments and dry them flat.
- Group garments into whites, darks and colours.
- Make sure you use the correct washing temperature. If unsure, always wash at a lower temperature.
- Rinse until water runs clear after hand washing your clothes.
- Don't leave garments with white and coloured panels soaking for prolonged periods.
- Don't iron.
